  • Specification Writing & Review: Custom development and engineering review of protective coating specifications, surface preparation requirements, and environmental parameters tailored to facility exposure.

  • Third-Party Dispute Resolution: Independent technical analysis and expert consultation for coating failures, premature degradation, intercoat adhesion failures, and applicator compliance disputes.

  • Asset Audits & Maintenance Planning: Condition surveys, baseline corrosion assessments, and long-term asset life-cycle evaluation for critical industrial infrastructure.

2. Destructive & Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

  • Non-Destructive Surface Profiling & Dry Film Thickness (DFT): Precision digital depth gauge and replica tape profile measurements, alongside magnetic and eddy-current DFT evaluation per SSPC-PA 2 and ASTM D7091.

  • Non-Destructive Discontinuity (Holiday) Testing: 100% surface continuity auditing utilizing low-voltage wet sponge ($67.5\text{ V DC}$) and high-voltage spark testing up to $30\text{ kV}$ per NACE SP0188 and ASTM G62.

  • Destructive Adhesion & Direct-Tension Testing: Quantitative pull-off adhesion testing using hydraulic dolly equipment per ASTM D4541 and cross-hatch tape adhesion testing per ASTM D3359.

  • Destructive Cross-Sectional Analysis & Hardness Verification: Takes Micro-To-Substrate Paint Inspection Gauge (Tooke Gauge / PIG) measurements per ASTM D4138 for individual layer thickness verification on multi-coat systems, combined with Shore D durometer hardness testing (ASTM D2240) and MEK solvent rub cure analysis (ASTM D5402).

3. Tank Linings & High-Build Containment Systems

  • Aboveground Storage Tanks (ASTs): Comprehensive QA/QC for tank floors, shell courses, roof undersides, chine angles, sumps, and nozzle penetrations adhering strictly to API 652 and AMPP SP21474.

  • High-Build Specialized Systems: Expert oversight for thermal ceramic insulation coatings (e.g., Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100), 100% solids novolac epoxies, plural-component polyurethanes, and thick-film solventless linings.

  • Immersion & Chemical Containment: Rigorous quality verification for secondary containment dikes, aggressive chemical service, and potable water infrastructure (AWWA D102 / NSF 61).

4. Pipeline Integrity & Substrate Preparation

  • Transmission Lines & Special Crossings: Field joint coating verification for 100% solids liquid epoxies, heat-shrinkable sleeves (HSS), tape wraps, and viscoelastic mastics per NACE SP0402 / NACE SP0102, as well as HDD abrasion-resistant overcoats (ARO).

  • Surface Preparation & Soluble Salts: Auditing to SSPC-SP 5, SP 10, SP 11, and SP 16, alongside quantitative extraction and analysis of non-visible soluble chlorides using Bresle patch protocols (SSPC Guide 15) and digital conductivity meters.
